I don't think the car was built for him. Check out his helmet above the rollcage, and looks like he doesn't
fit in the car all that well. Yikes, think this deal would fly today?

DRAG RACING USA MAGAZINE

To this day Drag Racing USA magazine was and still is the greatest drag rag ever!
It was just Drag Racing until they changed the name in June 1970 when Lopez

Publications purchased the magazine. Drag Racing magazine was fantastic too!
Here are just a few issues from my collection. (got at the drug store or in the mail)
I use these drag rags to post pictures on this thread and other rags from back in the day.
The last issue June 1975

December 1973 Maybe just maybe my favorite cover. Cogo Eads on fire in the lights, at Tulsa. 1973 PRO race

August 1974

June 1975 (The last issue) Still remember that day like it was yesterday. It was late May of 1975, just got home
from High School (16 years old) driving my 1961 Ford Falcon 4 door, with 3 on the tree, lets see the kids today
drive a 3 speed on the tree. Went to the mailbox and there was the last issue. It was a sad day!
Still had Super Stock & Drag Illustrated and National Dragster, so all was not lost.

AA/FC This is the old track Mission Raceway, Mission B.C. Canada. My sister and I went there a
couple of times in the early 70s. The track was literally in downtown Mission. If I remember right
the first time we went on a Sunday they could not run cars until noon because of church service

Did Denny borrow the rear wing from the "Mongoo$e"?
Back in the 1960s and maybe to the mid 1970s (like the fuel dragster above) 3 or 4 guys could
pool there money together to run a fuel digger. But soon as they burned up or broke all there junk.
They disappered as fast as they appeared.
